It's Not About the Money - 4 Ways To Create Beauty at Home

I have been a homemaker for 25 years and the one thing I know to be true is that creating a beautiful home and life doesn't have to cost a fortune.

You already have things in your home that you love. Find ways to display those beloved treasures so they become focal points. If they are functional items, use them daily and enjoy them rather than saving them for special occasions.

Every day is a special occasion!

Keep your home clean and sparkly.

Even the humblest of homes can become charming in appearance with a few minor improvements. Think sparkling windows, polished floors, fragrant, and clean.

Reuse, repurpose and recycle.

You can repurpose sheets to create curtains, tablecloths, napkins or braided rag-rugs. You can dye material to a color of your choice - clothing or otherwise. Browse Pinterest for ideas on ways to recycle furniture to create unique items for your home.

Paint.

Paint is an inexpensive, yet versatile way to create a drastic change in your home. You can create a look of simplicity with white or a pastel color of your choice. You can go dramatic with deeper tones or create a calming ambiance with shades found in nature. It's all up to you!

Look for treasures in unexpected places.

Yard sales, thrift shops, and estate sales are all options to finding unique furnishing and decor. Think outside the box. If it's not expensive, yet you love it - buy it....even if you don't know how you can use it yet. It will come to you. Don't discount the treasures that can be found in dollar stores! I have found some lovely items for my home there.

It's not about the money! A beautiful life can be created out of next to nothing if you are patient, creative and enjoy DIY projects.

I hope this post has been helpful to you. If you enjoyed, please share with your friends and on social media.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog! I'm so excited to have you here.

Here, on this blog, I will be sharing the things I've learned in my 25+ years as a homemaker and wife.

My favorite topics to read and write about are:
- Minimalism
- Money
- Simplicity
- Homemaking
- Decorating
- Frugality
- Living Well
- Mindset
- Inspiration
- Beauty
- Creativity

and....

- How to create a life YOU love, no matter how much (or how little) money you have in the bank.
See, we've been in both positions - and I believe (and KNOW!), without a shadow of a doubt, that you can create a beautiful life no matter the circumstances!

You can absolutely live in a manner that speaks to you. One where you are passionate, creative, inspired, and excited to wake up each morning.

How does that sound?

Too good to be true?

I promise you it's not. You may just need to look at things a little differently than what you are used to. You may need to call on your creativity and create new rituals and routines.

But it's not all ho-hum drudgery. And it's not grandiose changes either.

It's the small, incremental changes you make day after day that make the difference.

Welcome home to a new you, a new home, and a new life...
